This book makes me so happy. It is one of the few Hole novels that has an ending that the reader might remotely be able to classify as 'happy'! Even though, ala GoT, one of my favorite characters gets killed and there are significant hints that Harry's career has come to an end, I couldn't help but love it.
The conclusion leaves a couple of mysteries open so maybe Harry's career isn't coming to an end - I truly hope it isn't. The thing I love about this series is the clever misdirection scenes. So many times a scene is set up and the reader thinks one thing is happening and it turns out that that is just what Nesbo wanted you to think is happening and something completely different is actually happening. If this is the last Hole novel, it was a helluva way to out!
