Ooh the story feels a little different in this volume compared to the earlier ones. There are fewer small mysteries, and instead each one takes more chapters and are more firmly connected to a main plot (and also to the subtle quiet ones that still haven't revealed themselves in their entirety yet).
It's good, in a different way. It feels like we get deeper, more complicated problems, unlike the easier, less serious cases from before.
