Spanish Inquisition, 1478-1614: An Anthology of Sources by Lu Ann Homza

5.0

This is a really great book, and though I had it assigned for class I appreciated it on a more personal level too. It's not really a history book, it doesn't give you a timeline of the Inquisition and who the prominent members are or any of that, but it's full of amazing sources about the Inquisition. The texts are well-translated and really give a sense not just about what went on in the trials but also what was going on within the Inquisition itself. I would highly recommend this if you really want to learn more about the Inquisition, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know anything about the Inquisition already. Go pick up another more general history, read that, and then come back, and you won't be disappointed.
