Broken Knight
by L.J. Shen
definitely not a perfect read but WORLDS better than the first one in this series
ultimately, i really liked how grief was handled. i liked that things in general were a little messy.
i do think that the will they/won't they felt disjointed and that this book felt like it was plotted in chapters rather than cohesively as one story. i also didn't like the way the HEA was wrapped up or the way substance abuse was handled.
but the family dynamics, handling of grief, and personal development on the parts of the hero and heroine ultimately won me over.
