Puerto Rico: A National History by Jorell Meléndez-Badillo

informative

5.0

A well narrated abridged history of the island colony of Puerto Rico. Melendez-Badillo did not shy away from scathing facts surrounding the ongoing occupation of the island but as well as the government's corruption and mismanagement. While at the same time reminding readers of the resilience and unwavering love the people of Puerto Rico have for their island regardless of what these foreign governments have to say. A fantastic primer for those wanting to learn more about this island I, and millions of others, call home.
