this was my first Toni Morrison book but certainly not my last. it’s obvious why she’s considered a legend — you can tell that she had a clear vision, a deep knowledge of, and devotion to the story she was telling. the last couple of pages are an absolute punch to the gut. if you haven’t read Morrison yet, what are you doing?!
