Classic story with a modern twist - the mythology around vampirism is really cool here, and I liked how everything sort of fit together. Lissianna is working at a shelter and doing her best to feed discreetly instead of using blood bags since the sight of blood makes her faint. What? Vampire afraid of blood? Yep. One of the many quirks that I love about the Argineau world!
Greg is a psychologist who is kidnapped by Lissianna's mother to treat her phobia for her birthday, and that isn't even the weirdest thing he will encounter. Scary vampire family members and a fervent priest will be the least of their nightmares if they can't figure out how to escape their current situation. On top of realizing they want forever together, the concept of life mates is a really cool addition to the vampire lore as well!
