Faebound is an incredible, lush fantasy romance with a beautiful Afro-Arab inspired setting. In a world ravaged by the forever war we explore topics of occupation, finding yourself, stolen land, curses, love and becoming you were meant to be.

I devoured this book and wanted so much more. The characters are amazing and so well fleshed out. Both MCs had such distinct voices and I loved both in different ways, flaws and all.

This world is so diverse, you have a queernoramtive setting, with so many queer and nonbinary characters, as well as many disabled characters. This is what we want in fantasy!!

I'm in awe of this world that has been created and cannot wait to explore it and see where it goes.

I was low-key kind of mad at the ending. Purely because I didn't want the character to make the decision she did.

Nonetheless I loved this book and everything about it. This won't be my last book from El-Arifi.
