This book focuses on Lucas, who is 14 years old. His older brother is fighting in the Vietnam war, his friend Conner is withdrawing more each day, he befriends a woman who lives in the woods, he finds a passion in running. This book is an interesting perspective from the young man's view on the war, addiction, grief, forgiveness, and many other events. It was a good read.
