The Perks of Being a Wallflower
by Stephen Chbosky
"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is about a boy named Charlie, who's too much of a wallflower. People describe Charlie as a boy who sees things, but never talk about them. This obviously earned the attention, plus some friends. Amongst those friends, is Charlie's crush, Sam. Throughout the book the author, Stephen Chbosky, writes letters to an unknown person. This leaves the reader on cliffhangers and with many unspoken ideas. Chbosky captures the reader with descriptive and relatable writing. Chbosky reminds the reader to never give up with both a positive and a negative tone. I recommend this book to anyone that is ready to go on an emotional roller coaster.
