This was a solid 4 star for me. It wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read but it was intriguing and fun and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a break from typical fantasy. I think the author did a fantastic job setting up book 2 and I’m excited to see how the magic system expands. I’m not dying to pick up the next one but the release date is on my calendar!
