About a third of the stories were just too ... schizophrenic for my tastes. Also--and this is probably a silly complaint--but I keep expecting a graphic novel to live up to its name and really be a novel, rather than a collection of novellas. Does this exist? Or is the genre too influenced by its outgrowth from comics?
