Lucky Star by Susannah Nix

4.0

This is such a great read! Light-hearted, fun, super sexy and beautifully romantic, it was just what I was in the mood for! This book is chock full of romance tropes such as celebrity romance, secret crush, forced proximity, slowburn, fake dating, and each one made this book such a delight to read.

Eve and Boone are both wonderful characters and the chemistry between them is fantastic! Easy and natural, I loved this relationship. Although strangers in the beginning, their friendship is easily captured, and the chemistry between them is there from the very beginning. And when they both recognise their epic sexual tension and start to realise that true feelings are becoming involved, they don’t fight it. Intense, passionate, these two are on fire together. But it’s very clear that their connection is just as much emotional and physical, and I loved watching things change between them as their fake relationship became very real.

The writing in this book is so engaging, and the story is perfectly paced, giving us a fantastic build-up and then lots of time with Eve and Boone together as a couple. And the romance is gorgeous! You can see it happening all throughout the story even though they may be oblivious to it, but once the big realisation is made, it’s all beautifully swoony.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s sweet and fun with a wonderfully heartfelt and sexy romance. Susannah Nix is rapidly becoming one of my favourite writers, and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her work!
