I had REALLY high hopes for this book! It really should score a 3.5 so I am rounding up.
Sophie and Amy are both very well written characters. I thought Sophie would be my girl, but Amy stole my heart!
The characters fit together, but I didn't like how much will they/won't they drama there was, especially since all of it could have been resolved with an honest conversation.
The plot was not very strong and not very enticing. This book grabbed me with the sample but really lost it's allure about 25% into the book. At 35% and 60% I really had to push through, hoping to get to 'the good part'. I love cooking so the cooking aspect of the plot was really the only thing that kept me going.
The spicy scenes were very mild but did a good job with build up.
Overall, I would not buy again for $10 on Kindle and I would not read again, but its good for a once through.
