The Troop

This one took me a while to get into, and when I say a while I mean... I didn’t like this book until the last 50 pages. For so much of it I was thinking “what is this book doing that Lord of the Flies doesn’t do” and I was Bored with a capital B.
But I’m glad I hung in there because the last 50 pages the stakes get higher, the truth comes out, and things get juicy (and upsetting).
So for like 75% of the book it was a 2 star for me but then the end picked it up to 4 star territory. If you like LOTF, I definitely think you’ll like this.
