Coração Débil by Fyodor Dostoevsky

4.0

"A weak heart" was one of Dostoyevsky's first stories. He was just 27 years old when he wrote it.
This short tale spins around two young fellas who live together in an apartment. Both share the fresh joy of the youth. One of them is about to get married to a young beautiful girl. However, his sense of general happiness enters in conflict with his individual pleasures.
This short tale successfully focuses on the psychology part of its characters; both of the main characters have different personalities, with different outcomes in this story.
Dostoyevsky managed to deliver an insight short story concerning mental health and its consequences. This same short story is as relevant today as it was back then. It perfectly depicts psychological problems - such as anxiety and depression - in a compelling manner that is applicable nowadays.
