This book is pretty ridiculous, with flat characters and an improbable plot. The author clearly loves luxury fashion and invests a lot of detail into describing it. Still, I will probably read the next in the series because I like a bit of easy escapism in between other books, and this one was exactly that. (FWIW I really enjoyed the movie.). UPDATE: tried the second (China Rich Girlfriend) and it was so awful I couldn’t keep going. Not sure how to keep a list of books I couldn’t finish here on goodreads.
