I liked this novella a lot. I can understand why the guy liked her but it wasn’t as clear why she would like him. Yes, they had an awesome interaction where she learns he isn’t really a douche. But he had 5 years to see how amazing she was. And for that 5 years, he was a jerk to her because he was super attracted to her but he was married.
So, it goes from 0-60 way too fast for her to forgive him and be charmed that he liked her while he was married.
Frankly, I love their dynamic and he is charming. But it feels like the backstory could have been done differently so he didn’t seem like such a creep when you think about it logically.
It’s fun and I enjoyed it a lot.
During their relationship, there is no OW/OM. But the fact that he was crushing on her before his marriage broke up is a little creepy.
I love that he does seek consent. Don’t get me wrong, he seems pretty awesome. It’s just weird that she gives consent so quickly and she is ALL over him.
I really enjoyed the writing and will definitely be checking out this author’s other books.
