to be quite honest, this wasnt my fave and its not their best. i just hate it when that plot device thing is used in any book

you cant end an epic battle you spent ten books building up with little to no consequences, only to cancel even those consequences in a spin off series.

i just cant.

and there wasnt nearly enough derek in this.
