Love Around the Corner
by Sally Malcolm
Really good
4.5 ⭐️
very good story on first impressions and the use of online friendships. Leo was a hard character to like at the start as he was so prickly and I didn’t understand why he was so mean. The defence mechanism meant he didn’t connect with really anyone in the town. I loved Alfie and felt for him with people like Leo judging him without getting to know him.
I understood Leo’s predicament in telling Alfie who he was. It was understandable how it got out of hand. I liked that both characters took the time to come to terms with their identities once they were out there. It wasn’t a quick fix from either of them.
