I wanted to like this book but it feels like another one that was super hyped up as eerily accurate to the current United States. While I believe that a lot of it is parallel, I also found a lot of it to be hyperbolic. I wish I had gone in with a blank slate and no expectations.

I found the age gap between our main character and the doctor triggering and her starting a religious community (aka probably a cult) didn’t sit well with me personally.

Very interesting concept overall but a lot of triggers in the book that I wasn’t prepared for.
