This second books definitely picked up more in area of plot compared to the previous book. I loved how much we got to learn more about many of the guys’ backgrounds and addressing their traumas. This also allowed us to explore so much more of the world and the different types of societies that are there. For the actual plot, it’s interesting seeing that humans are portrayed in such an evil light compared to all the other beings in this world. I’m not sure how things are going to play out on top of the fact that I’m not as invested in the plot as I am with the characters. Either way, I still had such a good time reading this book and looking forward to seeing what happens next.
