Hope: A Tragedy by Shalom Auslander

4.0

A black comedy about the effects of the Holocaust on the following generations, family and self-fulfilment. Like all great books, it's about the big things that matter shown throw the petty existence.

It's funny and empathetic and tragic and bizarre. A fantastic read that would make a nice companion to the Coen brothers' 'A Serious Man'.
