Divergent by Veronica Roth

Like most kids, I read this book/series in middle school. And then I read it again in high school. And THEN I reread in college. And now, I’ve reread it once again as an adult who now has much more reading experience and MUCH higher standards, both in regards to dystopian/fantasy novels, as well as romance.

Let me just say: this book holds up. The characters are perfect, and lovable, and relatable, and hilarious, and flawed. It has coming of age, it has action, it has romance, it has family drama, it has (super) complex societies. Well rounded and well executed.

Tris is a total badass. I love her and her journey through these pages. Four is actually perfect. A top tier book boyfriend of mine, forever and always.

This reread was a joy. ❤️
