3.5/5. I honestly had a really hard time getting past the letters between the two sisters. I mean, she's on a secret spy mission, and she was a superpowered soldier (scheming to be the next General) in the army of a country that has been at war for CENTURIES...and her spy check-in letters look like:

(..paraphrasing..)

"My dearest sister Ghoa,

How are you? Spying has been uneventful today. What's going on at the warfront? Hope you know that the capital is flooded with refugees and resources are running low.

You ever loving sister,

Enebish"

I couldn't stop hating it for the entire book.
