The Fact of a Body: A Murder and a Memoir
by Alex Marzano-Lesnevich
The narrative structure/weave between crime and the author POV helps to create both a sense of closeness to the crime as well as distance. Though, I confess that I had to quickly skim large sections. The in-scene sections about a child's murder included so many visceral details that I couldn't keep reading.
