Aaaahhhh, she is so good at creating main characters who do things for other characters even though those characters don't deserve it and it is frustrating but also understandable and relatable, ugh. The toxic friendship in this book is explored so well and it's so disturbing to read, yet also heartbreaking. The world building is also top notch, loved that it was so ocean bound, very interesting. The plot is very much propelled by the main character's actions, which is not my fav, but she made it pretty compelling and her writing just made it impossible to stop reading. Loved the rep for deafness and sign language, it was very cool.
