Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust by Immaculée Ilibagiza

3.0

Immaculée's story is one not only of triumph, but of forgiveness. While her survival of the Rwandan genocide alone captures the reader, her conscious decision to be a forgiving person is the theme of her work.

While I am glad I read through Immaculée's difficult story, I do not believe I would have read it if the book had not been gifted to me as a friend. The religious undertones are not quite my style.
