Dan Simmons elegantly weaves the stories of 7 characters in this sci-fi setting using languages that makes the themes, ideas, and plot points both interesting and easy to follow without lacking emotional or philosophical depth. The portrayal of very human emotions in Hyperion was something I will remember vividly for years to come.
