A little weird and a little wonderful. I love a good unlikeable/damaged hero and you got quite a lot of that in this book.
This follows Emmat Bird, a criminal and sister to a useless brother, who once again is in trouble. With a brother set to hang for petty crimes and a family who doesn't want her without him, she knows she must make a deal with the hangman.
And he wants her—to be his wife. A life for a life.
This was short and sweet, and because of that I definitely felt the story was underdeveloped and was missing something. I love this author and it was a fun read, so I would still definitely recommend.
