After Ever Happy by Anna Todd
4.0

Wow! I am really happy with the ending, but I'm also completely devastated that the story is finished. I need more Hardin in my life. This story has completely consumed me for the past two months. It all started by me stumbling upon the After movie on Netflix. The whole time I was watching I kept thinking, "this looks like a book I would read", only to look it up at the end of it and find that not only it is a book, but a whole series, and all the books were already on my TBR list. Since that first viewing, I have watched the movie close to a dozen times (I may be slightly smitten with Hero Fiennes Tiffin, the actor playing Hardin - don't judge me! He's adorbs! SWOOON), I've gotten countless other people to watch it, I've told all of my book loving friends to read the series, I've purchased the movie and downloaded the soundtrack, and now I'm at the end. And to say I'm not ready for that is an understatement!! A story hasn't pulled me under like this since Twilight, and I was borderline obsessed with that. There is just something about these handsome, flawed, charming sociopath book boys that gets to me. I know Hardin and Tessa's story isn't for everyone, and it in no way should be held as an example of a healthy relationship by any standards, but it really grabbed hold of my heart and pulled me in from the beginning. I'm so glad to see how it all turned out for them. I really couldn't have asked for a better ending. And thank you, Anna Todd, for knowing how to do an epilogue that satisfies the need to know stuff way into the future. This makes my heart smile in the biggest way, sincerely! I could still use more, though. Haha. Because Hardin Scott has my heart forever and ever.

Gotta go read Before now and hope it soothes my aching soul. If not, I may just have to read the entire series again! And then there is always the next movie, which can't come out fast enough!!

P.S. - This series actually has me wanting to read all the classics like Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice. There are so many books that I know I should have already read but just haven't had the interest. Kudos on getting me to change my thoughts on them. :)
