After That Night by Karin Slaughter
5.0

Wow! This was another amazing addition to the Will Trent series. Dani Cooper manages to get herself to the ER at Grady but dies from her brutal injuries after telling Dr Sara Linton that she was raped. Fast forward three years and Sara is trying her to best to get justice for Dani in a civil trial. During the course of the trial, Britt McAllister (the defendant's mother) hints that everything that is going on is connected to Sara's own sexual assault she experienced 15 years earlier. And it seems, they were not the only ones. This book was chilling, disturbing, evoked a range of emotions from me and highlighted the reality of sexual assault cases and the lack of convictions. I have been a long time reader of Karin Slaughter and I am so glad that the story of Sara Linton has finally been told.
If you have not read Karin Slaughter before, I urge you to do so....ASAP!
