Needy Little Things by Channelle Desamours

Sariyah and her abilities were amazing, as was the plot. I admit that the teen's plots were frustrating to read through while I was internally screaming at how bad they were, at how much could (and did) go wrong, but I also understand that, as teens, they don't always think ahead to possible consequences. Sariyah's mother did frustrate me, though. As someone who also deals with depression, there are days when it takes everything in me to get out of bed, but I grit my teeth and do it, and I don't have two children who depend on me like Sariyah and her brother do on her. No two mental illnesses can truly be compared, I know, but that got to me. I wouldn't be as forgiving as she was. However, the book was still amazing and I legit didn't predict all the twists and turns, so well done!
