nienehuyghe 's review for:
Her Royal Highness
by Rachel Hawkins
I've always loved the 'royal falls in love with average person' trope, but Rachel making it gay???? The best thing ever. And guess what. THEY WERE ROOMMATES!!!??
This was everything I've ever wanted. I read this book in one sitting, just couldn't put it down. The writing is so smooth and hilarious!
And the characters...
From the minute I started reading, I knew I loved Millie. She's determined and stubborn and a total mess around pretty girls. She reminds me of myself a lot.
Flora. She's trying to look all tough and cold, but really she's so so soft on the inside.
I loved their relationship. The banter and laughs. The things they did for each other. I screamed at the Thanksgiving dinner!!
But I have to say. My absolute favourite character of this book. Sakshi. This girl has the funniest comments and I was laughing at her the whole time.
Oh this was such a cheeky and fun, fluffy read. My gay heart melts.
The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because I thought the ending was a bit rushed. Other than that I loved it all.
