Did not finish book.

 The whole "racism" talk was nice and all, but all the characters felt like they were just token non-whites. Lots of stories of racism against non-whites, but not a mention of the massacres in South Africa of white people made it feel very one-sided to me.
 
 Authors always act like talking about racism is such a brave, never-before-done thing. It's not.
