Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2 by G. Willow Wilson
4.0
This is probably 4.5 stars that I'm rounding down...
This series is great. Kamala is kind, thoughtful, resourceful, funny, and very human. The cast of characters around her feel increasingly like whole people (esp. Bruno and Aamir) and I really enjoy the time I spend in her world.
The weaknesses in this series, as my BF notes, is that it has to tie into the larger Marvel universe, and thus, simultaneous or tie-in storylines (i.e. the large threat in Manhattan) seem unresolved. Unlike the first hardcover volume, which contained a predominantly contained story, this volume feels a little empty for the smaller victories Kamala scores in the context of. That being said, .
Looking forward to more :)
