Trejo: My Life of Crime, Redemption, and Hollywood
by Danny Trejo
3.5 Stars
I was intrigued when I stumbled upon this book. I grew up seeing Danny Trejo in various movies, but I never knew anything about his past. So, this book intrigued me. It’s a raw book. He talks openly about his life and the way he changed it, the imperfections he was still left with after managing to turn his life around. I love the honesty, the introspection. This is who he is and that’s ok. The man managed to not only change his life, but so many other through his work and story. And I hope that anyone that reads this book takes something with them. I guess the thing I’ll take is that “It is never too late to turn your life around if you, yourself find the motivation to do it. Life’s not perfect, it may never be perfect, but it can get better!”.
