It took a while for me to be done with it, not because I don't like the story, I quite like it. But somehow, I enjoyed [b:The Duke and I|110391|The Duke and I (Bridgertons, #1)|Julia Quinn|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1379594717l/110391._SY75_.jpg|846763] more than this one.

The book two began with Anthony's trauma over his sudden-death father, Edmund Bridgerton. And it makes him to built a wall for his heart and make a room for brain more. Anthony wants to marry, but not for love, only for obligation. He has an eye for Edwina Sheffield, but he must to have blessing from Edwina's sister, Kate Sheffield.

The enemy to lovers trope on this book is pretty entertaining and funny, to be honest. I like Kate personality, it's so far different from Daphne Bridgerton. Kate is so determined, sassy and badass.
And also Anthony, the London's rake who has a soft heart but don't want to show it up to everyone. Their banter... WELL... WOW.
Also, the love scene. It makes me swooning. But, again this book isn't as making me swoon as the first one. But I like it nonetheless.

"And when a man loved a woman, truly loved her from the depths of her soul to the tips of her toes, wasn’t it his God-given duty to try to make her happy?"
