Reckless by Lauren Roberts is book two in The Powerless Trilogy. Paedyn is on the run from the one person she wanted to be with. Kai is the enforcer and is loyal to his brother the new king. He has vowed to bring Paedyn to justice.
Ah, ooookay. I get it. I get the hype. This was one of those books where you really feel their tension and yearning. Pae is on the run for her life and Kai is warring with his feelings and his duty. So much angst in here. Back and forth between what they desire and what is expected.
WTH was that freaking cliffhanger though?! Like why! Now I most definitely need to not put off the last book because I need to know how that is going to play out!! I really feel like all the characters are really well written. Depth and growth! My favorite.
