Even Exchange is a funny and emotional romance that had me hooked from start to finish. From chaotic fake dating to unshakable loyalty, this story balances laugh-out-loud moments with genuine heart—and yes, even a few tears.

Charlotte, the daughter of a high-profile political family, and Noah, a rising NFL star with a difficult past, start out as close friends who swear that’s all they’ll ever be. But one spur-of-the-moment lie sets off a chain of events neither of them saw coming. I loved how their relationship grew—from inside jokes and constant texting to something way deeper, full of support, trust, and real feelings.

Noah is one of those book boyfriends you can’t help but root for—emotionally available, steady, and all in from the moment it counts. Charlotte’s journey is just as strong, especially as she pushes back against expectations and starts choosing what she wants for her own future.

Things definitely escalate in the back half (in the best kind of way), but it all worked because I was so invested in the characters. I loved that the story didn’t shy away from harder themes like family pressure, trauma and power, while still giving us a swoony, satisfying ending.
