Between some beautifully written passages, there was a lot of frustration in this book.
I can appreciate Giovanni's Room for what it is and still not had the best time reading it. The protagonist frustrated me so much, I couldn't connect with him at all.
Although I liked Hellas character, everyone in this book was trying to find themselves, find their place in this world, but I could connect with her most.
I see the authors intention with Giovanni and David, even though it did not hit me the way it should have.
For me, this book stood out for the beautiful language, that's going to stay with me for a while.
