Mia Sheridan captivated my heart, mind, body and soul with this book! She’s an amazing author and this book is now one of my all time favorites. Mia Sheridan has the power to destroy my heart with the flow of emotions I’m feeling when reading her books.
Kyland is a story so emotional and so powerful, my heart was aching for the characters and what they were going through. It’s a story about sacrifice, choice, pride and love.
“Sometimes my life felt so small. And I had to wonder why those of us who were given small lives, still had to feel pain so big.”
Tenleigh and Kyland have one common goal and that is to get out of their town as soon as they graduate high school. They both come from poverty which leaves them hopeless. The only way they could achieve their goal is through scholarship, a scholarship they are both competing for. And only one student could win it.
I can even put to words the feelings I had while reading this book. The story felt so real and I love reading books that feel real. Tenleigh and Kyland are prefect together, their love is so beautiful and selfless.

Kyland is a spectacularly written book, I didn’t just read this book, I felt it. It’s a story that will stay with me for a long time.
