Crowned Worthy by L. G. Jenkins

3.25

I was gifted this copy by the author, The Book Network UK, and the publisher for the Crowned Worthy book tour, so thank you!

This story was a wild ride! It built slowly at first, creating the setting and introducing the characters which I think was done well. My curiosity was grabbed instantly, but it did take me a while to really get invested in the plot and the characters. Once I was in though, there was no going back and I finished the second half of the novel in one sitting.

I found myself not really liking Ajay and his motivations, especially after learning more of his past. Though I think this made me more interested in the story, it was refreshing to follow a character that I didn’t overly like, but I was still invested in their story. I think this was helped as he (and the other main characters) were so fleshed out. I loved getting to know them all - which made the conclusion to this novel all the more shocking and painful to read.

Crowned Worthy reminded me why I love dystopian fiction. I am definitely keen to read book two!
