This book got me out of a huge book slump. I found myself being drawn in again and again to reading it when I was supposed to be doing productive things. Oops lol. Pandora is a hidden and shackled woman who switches places with her sister and is married to the Prince of the neighboring magical kingdom. She goes to him believing magic is demonic and that she will soon be killed. Twists and turns and dark plots ensue. Check the trigger warnings.
I personally think The Witch’s Pet is dark fantasy at its finest. I’d recommend it for people who enjoy actual “dark” situations in their books and the atmosphere of stories like the Last Unicorn (movie). Before you ask, there isn’t a ton of spice but the tension is *chefs kiss*. I’m not normally one for miscommunication or hiding secrets but it works for this book and I’m dying to read book 2.
