The main characters are… not compelling. I was alternately annoyed by Hallie and Kase in equal measure but for different reasons. They had zero chemistry and their bickering was closer to middle grade than actual adult conversations.

I did like the setting and I also enjoyed that the romance was clean. I can see why good reviews are out there it just really wasn’t for me.
