Why not stay on quietly here, like us, and be jolly?

This was such an absurd little book. Definitely something I wouldn't have picked up on my own (thank you Mikala) and something that I was very sceptical about initially. I eventually ended up growing to love the characters (yes, even Toad) even though I had no idea what they were doing at the time. There's not really much going on with the story except for these randomly funny moments that see our characters in unexpected circumstances. It was quite surreal really. I have so many questions about the logistics of the animals in regards to the humans (at least I thought they were humans) they interact with. Also baffled at how so many people could think a toad in a dress was a washerwoman. I thought that was hilarious. I enjoyed my time overall even if it was really weird.
