I really enjoyed this book. Not only was I rediscovering the A's around the time the book takes place (thanks to a friend's giant crush on Eric Chavez), I was trying to understand why my boyfriend is so obsessed with sports. The book tells a really compelling narrative. Billy Beane is a really interesting "character," and it really made me understand baseball in a way I didn't before. If you happen to hate baseball you probably won't like it, but if you like the game, you'll enjoy the stories of the players being scouted, even if you don't know who they are.
