Under the Tuscan Sun: 20th-Anniversary Edition
by Frances Mayes
⭐️2 out of 5⭐️
If you think this is going to be anything like the movie, think again. What I thought was going to be a light rom-com adventure in Tuscany was in fact a memoir about a very privileged white middle-aged woman who I couldn’t connect with. And there was no depth to any of the people in her life. No focus or development. The only thing I learned about Ed was that he is a fast driver. Otherwise I know nothing about him or their relationship together.
One positive was the food —definitely made me hungry reading. And I’d love to go on a holiday to Tuscany someday!
