3.5 stars rounded up. Still an enjoyable read for me despite the many frustrations with how some of the main characters behaved. I quite enjoy the historical bits that are woven into each novel and it's a sobering reminder that women could be institutionalized on the whim of their fathers or husbands not that long ago. I'm looking forward to the next one.
