Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life
by Bryan Lee O’Malley
I'm so on the fence about this being in color. It is well done—suitably blocky colors, and nothing looks off, especially with the movie out—but I rather like well done black and white, and the thing about the art is it looks great. It's heavy lines, which does make it easier to color, but also means the black/white balance looks nice as is.
Anyway, I prefer drawing in black and white as opposed to color as well, so I'm biased to begin with.
(If you haven't read these, I recommend them. Especially fantastic if you grew up on videogames. The sixth is a bit of a letdown, but the others wree great.)
